About the Course
4 Week Course - Building Qualified Techs from the Ground Up
$1,700 per student per week. Max 5 students per class.
Monday: 12pm - 5pm
Tuesday: 8am - 5pm
Wednesday: 8am - 5pm
Thursday: 8am - 5pm
Friday: 8am - 12pm
Week 1: HVAC Electrical - Students will start at the very basics of electricity and electrical theory, then will move into the lab to wire various circuits in a hands-on setting. We will then move into electrical troubleshooting with an emphasis on order of operations.
Week 2: Gas Heating Fundamentals - Students will start at the very basics of heating to get comfortable with each component, their function, and how they work together to form a functioning heating system. We will then transition into troubleshooting and maintenance best practices of a furnace. Troubleshooting will be emphasized in a hands-on lab setting. Certifications offered (not guaranteed to pass the exam): HVAC Excellence Gas Heating Certification.
Week 3: Air Conditioning Fundamentals - Students will start by learning about the refrigeration cycle and the basics of an A/C system. We will then transition into troubleshooting and maintenance best practices of an A/C system. Troubleshooting will be emphasized in a hands-on lab setting. Certifications offered: (not guaranteed to pass the exam): HVAC Excellence A/C Certifaction, EPA 608 Certification, EPA A2L Certification.
Week 4: HVAC Installation Best Practices - Students will learn best practices for installation of a complete split HVAC system. Students will go through an entire change-out scenario in our lab, then commission and start up the entire HVAC system. Duct sizing best practices of how to put togehter square and round ducting, how to build a plenum/transition. Certifications offered (not guaranteed to pass the exam): HVAC Excellence Recovery, Evacuation, and Brazing Certifications.
Travel and hotel not included, we do have numerous hotels we have negotiated rates with.
